Hightown Parish Council will be considering whether or not to issue a letter to Lancashire County Council regarding the planning application that has been submitted in respect of fracking in Great Altcar at it’s next meeting on 16th September 2019.

Please note that this is not a public meeting and it will not be possible for the Parish Council to provide any information about either the planning application itself or fracking in general at the above meeting.

If you would like further information regarding these issues the Moss Alliance (an alliance of local groups opposed to fracking and committed to raising awareness of Aurora Energy Resources’ plans to frack in Great Altcar, West Lancashire) has arranged a series of public meetings that you can attend on the following dates:

Formby: Gild Hall, Church Road, Formby – Tuesday 3rd September, 7pm

Lydiate/Maghull: Lydiate Village Centre, Lambshear Lane, Lydiate, L31 2LA – Thursday 5th September, 7pm

Haskayne/Downholland: Haskayne Village Hall, 109 School  Lane, Downholland L39 7JE, Friday 6th September, 7pm
